| Baosteel launches mass technology innovation activities |
|
The head office of Baosteel Co Ltd has been vigorously launching mass technology innovation activities. Up to now Kong Liming type innovation teams have applied for 115 patents and 653 technical know how, rationalization proposals have created a benefit of CNY 599 million and over 200 self management topics have played an active role in on site cost improvement, cost reducing and efficiency enhancing, quality improvement activities.
Confronted with the severe market in this year, Baosteel Co Ltd guides the employees to voluntarily participate Kong Liming type innovation teams, rationalization proposal and self management activities with the focus on product operation, cost improvement and management enhancement which are jointly managed by the Party, administration, labor union and Youth League with mass technology innovation activities as the vehicle. The employees base themselves upon their posts actively take part in various activities and make positive contributions to facilitate the enterprises in lowering cost, enhancing efficiency and improving cost.
With Kong Liming type innovation teams as the platform, the head office of Baosteel Co Ltd gives full play to the role of grass roots labor union and the leading models like Mr Kong Liming, Mr Han Mingming and Mr Wang Jun and continuously incubates innovation achievements and talents with Kong Liming science and technology innovation salon as the core. Up to now, there are 359 innovation teams with the members of 2817 people in the plants and departments directly under Baosteel Co Ltd. With the efficient organization of grass roots labor union, the members of innovation teams closely combine the innovation activities with the solution of actual problems on site, so that while the problems on site are solved, the innovation achievements also take shape.
This year, the innovation achievements selected and recommended by the labor union of the head office got 7 gold, 3 silver and 6 bronze prizes in the 18th China Invention Exhibition, 5 gold, 10 silver and 7 bronze prizes in the 22nd excellent invention qualifying contest. The labor union of the head office also lays stress on the discovery and fostering of innovative talents, and successively sets up Wang Jun workroom and Gao Yuqiang innovation incubator house, so that new innovative talents keep emerging.
At the beginning this year, Baosteel Co Ltd Operation Improvement Department and the labor union of the head office sent down the planning notice of rationalization proposal and self management activities in view of the new situation to jointly plan the promotion program and guide the grass roots employees to actively take part in the rationalization proposal and self management activities, so that they can be the effective approaches to enhance the fundamental management on site and solve the difficulties in the forefront of production. The management departments also further mobilize the employees' initiatives of participating various activities on site through optimizing the review process and incentive method of rationalization proposals. The rationalization proposals put forward and implemented this year merely generate a benefit of CNY 155 million.
